MasterCard Foundation in collaboration with Junior Achievement Nigeria Train 550 Girls on Entrepreneurship and Skill acquisition.

I am Habiva Ngor a Senior Secondary School I student of Community Secondary School Nkpogu,I am 16years old from Sokoto state. My experience in JAN Girls Enterprise program sponsored by MasterCard Foundation has touched my life and I now know that God has a plan for me indeed; I learnt how to sew cloths from the start to finish (Designing, drawing, cutting and sewing). This training is an alternative way young people can support their families legitimately. Change is not a destination in itself but a continuous journey, if we can impact our young girls one girl at a time, we can possibly reduce prostitution and the impact of poverty in our nation especially on our young girls.  Let their success be your motivation

The future belongs to the children of today; not the educated ones only but rather to those willing to acquire a skill as well as education, those willing to unlearn, learn and re-learn because entrepreneurship is dynamic and key to the nation’s future development. In GEP, these virtues were inculcated into the hearts of over 550 indigent girls because like the popular saying goes that `when you train a man,you train a person but when you train a woman, you train a nation. Here, we train mothers of tomorrow to become nation builders and conscientious business leaders.
Precious Dezua a 17years, SSI student of Community Secondary School Oroworokwo : She learnt how to make hair (braiding and fixing) with this skill she can earn from it in the future.
