The Abraaj Group facilitates Entrepreneurship skills in Nigerian Youth

JA Nigeria in partnership with The Abraaj Group sponsored Six (6) Schools in Abuja and Lagos. These schools participated in the Abraaj 2 nd Cycle Company Program These are the products made by students in both regions. Abuja:   Living Spring International College: (113 students)-Student Note Pads, Ankara Knapsack Flora Home School: (40 students)-Germicide, snacks and liquid soap. Nurul Bayan: (19 students)-Petroleum Jelly for the skin. Lagos: Kuramo College: (50 Students)- Phone cases made from local fabric Ggagada Senioe Grammar School: (60 Students) Iluminatinating Wall Clock & hot comb for hair dressing  Government College, Eric Moore (40 Students): Note pads for writing  In Abuja, a Job shadow program was also facilitated as part of a component of Abraaj Company Program. Fifteen ( 15) Students from African International College, Kaura District participated in Job Shadow on March 16, 2016. The Company Program    Students were taken to First Bank

ViMP 2016!

One of the core program of Junior Achievement Nigeria (JA Nigeria) is the Venture in Management Program (ViMP), a one-week intensive, mini-MBA session to introduce selected members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to the different facets of managing a business, making crucial business decisions and developing skills for Management.  This opportunity is designed to expose future business leaders to the responsibilities, opportunities, and demands of a career in management. With the support of African Capital Alliance Foundation ViMP was back again for the 3 rd year in a row. With over 1,096 applications, the highest applications received so far in the history of the program since inception in the year 2000.  As a long standing partner of ViMP, Accenture Nigeria facilitated the shortlisting based on the criteria for the selection and 201 applicants who scored above 75% were shortlisted and passed on to the interview stage.
