JA NIGERIA COY, ABUJA REGION; INGENUITY AT ITS PEAK!
Junior Achievement Nigeria, Abuja region held the regional Company of the Year Competition on
Friday 17th June, 2016. The event was convened by Ms. Adaeze Oputa, Associate Director of Programmes, JAN and the members of the JAN Abuja team.
96 students participated in the competition which according to the audience and judges can be categorized a mind blowing one which showcases the overwhelming brilliance and creativity of these young minds. Mrs. Chinze Ojobo, a first time volunteer with JAN who participated as a judge added, “I thoroughly enjoyed my time here today, the students were on point with their presentations. I am highly impressed with this JA Nigeria. I wish more people knew about Junior Achievement Nigeria.  I can’t wait for the National Competition”.

The 3 schools that earned their way to the National Company of the Year Competition later in the year are;

·         3rd Place – Loyola Jesuit College Jikwoyi
·         2nd Place – Model Secondary School Maitama
·         1st Place Winners – Community Staff Secondary School Asokoro
·         Best Corporate Social Responsibility 2016 - Community Staff Secondary School Asokoro

The Executive Director, JAN, Mrs. Efua Edeh who was also present at the event said, “I was really thrilled at the quality of the presentation of each of the students.  It shows that quality time was spent prepping them for the competition.  The event kept me engaged with the students and teachers”.
