MEET OUR NEW ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS (OUT OF SCHOOL YOUTHS AND SUPPLEMENTARY PROGRAMS)
Mr.
Harrison Ozuruonye, our new Associate Director of Programs (Out of School Youths
and Supplementary Programs) is a seasoned International Development professional
with years of experiences in both governmental and Non-governmental
organizations. A certified Protection professional, Project Management
Professional (PMP), experienced in humanitarian interventions, youth development and Social health care services. Mr.
Harrison has great interest in youth development, Refugees and Internally
Displaced Persons (IDP’s) protection.
He holds a B.Sc. degree in Medical Physiology and M.SC in
Humanitarian & Refugees Studies from the Centre
for Peace and Conflict Studies, University
of Ibadan, Nigeria. He also has a post graduate diploma in Community
Health/Hygiene, and other professional certifications and trainings like Community
Development studies and social health care services from Melder Bridge amongst
others.
Also, an Advanced Diploma in Security operations and Management from the
University of Lagos.
Mr.
Harrison belongs to several professional bodies, including the Humanitarian Practitioner Network (HPI),
Overseas Development Institute (ODI), London.
Professional membership of the Institute of Security Nigeria (ISN) and an
alumna of the Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies (CEPACS) University of
Ibadan.
Before
taking up his appointment with JA Nigeria, he was consulting for FAA’SH
foundation Maiduguri, while supervising preventive health programs for the
Nigerian Air force.
His mission for JA
Nigeria is…. “LEADING GHANGE FOR ENHANCED PERFORMANCE ‘’.
“I intend to bring
in programs that will touch the lives of the out of schools youths,IDP’s,Refugees and the physically challenged in our
society, as I work towards a better JA Nigeria.” As a challenging position
to meet my competences and capabilities toward achieving my organizational goal.
