JAN Alumni Launch

As most of you know, and if you don't now you do :-) ! JA Nigeria, has been around since 1999 bridging the gap between the workplace and classroom through our free financial literacy programs, and we have nurtured some of the best minds in Nigeria such as a Mr. Tunji Eloso, Director of Strategy and Business of CoCreation Hub; Mr. Gbenga Sesan, Executive Director of Paradigm Initiative and Ms. Toyosi Akerele, CEO of Rise Networks to name a few.

Why Create an Alumni Network?
JA Nigeria believes that creating a strong Alumni is the next step in advancing the objectives of the organization. Forming an Alumni Association offers alumni opportunities to positively impact the country as a nation builders and global agents of change.  

What is JAN’s Alumni Association?
JAN’s alumni association is an organized group of people who share the common experience of having participated in a Junior Achievement Nigeria Program regardless of the year or duration. The fundamental characteristic that unites members and brings them together is the unique shared experience of having spent time participating in a JAN’s program. It is upon this shared bond that the foundation of the alumni association is formed.
Benefits of joining the JAN Alumni Association
A great reason for joining the JAN alumni access to JA World wide’s 121 country global network. You gain access to a national and global network wile impacting the community positively. You gain an added sense of pride by associating with a professional alumni association with a vast network. Being part of the JAN Alumni association gives you the opportunity to give back and positively impact lives. You can be a nation builder, while engaging in social and professional forums to exchange ideas, join professional groups and mentorship. By joining the alumni association, alumnus connect to a network of high-achieving professionals that serves as an invaluable career asset
Purpose of the Alumni
The core purpose of creating a JAN Alumni is to provide a sustainable means of engaging alumni and to provide them with an effective means to implement the concepts and ideas they explored during their time with JAN, while positively impacting the community. The JAN Alumni aims to promote and support the general objectives and mutual interests of JAN and its alumni. The Alumni Association also exists to support JAN’s goals and strengthen the bond between the alumni; participants; our local communities; JAN and our 121 JA Worldwide community.. It is a great way to network socially and professionally, while fostering loyalty and celebrating the innovative accomplishments of JAN and its Alumni.
Membership and Slogan
JAN Alumni are entitled to a lifetime membership. The vision and the mission of the alumni must be aligned with that of Junior Achievement Nigeria. As a JAN Alumni you are an ambassador of JA Nigeria and JA Worldwide, so do your best to represent the organization in a positive light at all times. Membership of the JAN Alumni is free for now, but in the near future memberships will be at a nominal fee agreed by the Alumni.

No single formula guarantees the successful creation of an alumni association, and the ultimate success of an alumni association depends on the alumni themselves. JAN is working to impact the lives of 1 million students across the nation by 2020 and we cannot achieve this without your support.
